Benefits In Functionality & Style

Every home benefits from some type of patio or walkway. Paver WalkwayIt’s up to you to decide what kind of statement you want your home to make. Having all the facts is important to choose the right pavement: asphalt, decorative stone, natural stone, concrete, stamped concrete, or pavers. If you are undecided, please request our ICPI brochure entitled “The Beauty of Choosing the Right Pavement.”

Make the right choice. Choose interlocking concrete Paver Walkwaypavers!

The beauty of pavingstones is the wide range of choices to match your style. Whether your style is traditional, modern, rustic, or somewhere in between, there is a paver to reflect your personal style and provide a focal point for your outdoor living. In addition to being able to choose a particular style, you can choose a specific color or color blend to complement your home. Flagstone Patio

Another option for a rustic, woodsy location is natural stone. We have installed numerous informal flagstone patios and walkways set in stone dust or natural stone steps cut into a steep bank. This can be a cost-effective solution for certain homes.

Things to Consider for Patios Paver Patio

Believe it or not, determining the size of your patio is the most important aspect of the design process. Take time to layout your patio in your backyard. You can use a garden hose or even a can of spray paint. Then compare the size of your patio to the size of a room in your home. Determine what you want on your patio: table set, lounge chairs, grill, etc. Ask yourself, “Is this patio large enough to meet my needs?” We’ve never had a client say that their patio was too big.

The smaller the patio, the more expensive the price is per square foot! Although there are other factors to take into consideration when pricing a patio, we have basic guidelines that we follow for every job. For example, a 10’ x 10’ patio (100 sf) may cost around $35/sf, but a 30’ x 40’ patio (1,200 sf) may cost around $25/sf.

Also take into consideration:

  • Shape: Square, rectangle, rounded corners, serpentine, irregular
  • Style: Rustic, informal, traditional, contemporary, formal, modern
  • Location: Ground level, raised, multi-level
